XTHE welcomes open feedback from both readers, and the companies or people featured in our coverage. If material is challenged on the grounds of factual inaccuracy or wording, representatives are invited to get in touch with our editorial team or make use of our feedback mechanisms. Corrections, clarifications, or updates in response to new information will always be clearly marked within each article.

Our review processes are founded on robust, independent methodologies. Negative experiences within our reviews can be addressed with a manufacturer or representative before release to understand if they are deliberate or repairable. Manufacturers will, on occasion, be asked if they can supply a replacement review unit, an update to the software, or diagnostics. XTHE can send messages to brands about whether a review has been posted or not, and receive demonstration materials, usage guides, or marketing content, but no third party will gain access to or control over a review, news piece, or analysis before publication. No firm can propose, require, or amend XTHE’s editorial material.

When a product or service is altered in a manner affecting a review or test substantially, XTHE will add an update note to the initial review but will never remove or manipulate original editorial copy or ratings without disclosure. When a company is sure that a negative review was caused by a one-time problem, XTHE can accept retesting of a new sample and, if necessary, revise coverage with full disclosure.

XTHE’s editorial team upholds the highest professional ethics and integrity. Editorial staff are not permitted to accept gifts, payment, or advisory roles with companies that we cover. Gifts of nominal value, non-commercial in nature, are acceptable to be accepted as an expression of goodwill but never for the purposes of editing. Editorial staff does not participate in business development, affiliate relationships, or sales but can represent XTHE’s editorial output in professional settings. Marketing and sales personnel can send pitches or feedback but have no influence on what the editorial department writes or how the stories are told.

When businesses make embargoed or exclusive treatment of products, people, or information available, XTHE might accommodate non-disclosure agreements but never let it influence what is covered, how coverage is pursued, or what ratings are used. Sponsored travel or access will always be revealed in applicable stories so that readers know fully about the circumstances of this kind of coverage.

All members of the XTHE team are required to act professionally and have complete editorial autonomy, both in-person and via all online platforms. Anyone that acts on behalf of XTHE should have objectivity, respect, and transparency in all communications made publicly and privately. All opinions published and officially made must be professional and unbiased, and unaffected by external influence.
