The subscription delivers a comprehensive, studio-grade creative experience and is in direct competition with Creator Studio and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Today, Apple introduced Apple Creator Studio, a subscription bundle that unifies its editing and productivity apps into one suite for creators. This includes essential apps for video editors, designers, musicians, and writers, to explain who should use them.

What Apple Creator Studio is

Previously, Apple offered its pro apps as separate purchases. With Creator Studio, major editing and production tools are now available through a single subscription.

Subscription covers all apps on Mac and iPad, with added premium features for Apple productivity tools.

What Exactly Is Premium Content?

While details on premium content are limited, Apple has introduced a new content hub featuring a curated collection of photos, graphics, and illustrations for creative projects.

Subscribers will also receive newly designed templates in Keynote Pages and Numbers, expanding the variety of creative options available to them.

The subscription adds AI features, such as:

  • Generating presentations from text summaries
  • Creating notes from existing slides in Numbers
  • Using AI to generate formulas and populate tables

Pixelmator Pro Joins Apple Creator Studio.

Apple is releasing a major update to Pixelmator, now included in Creative Studio and newly available on iPad.

App interface uses Liquid Glass, and subscribers unlock new tools for layer manipulation and exclusive mockups.

Turning to video editing, Final Cut Pro on iPad benefits from new features such as Montage Maker, which analyses selected clips to create dynamic videos from the best moments. It can automatically reframe videos from various social networks.

In the music domain, Logic Pro now offers AI-based tools, such as chord progression and a library of royalty-free samples.

Will the stand-alone version of Final Cut Pro get all the new features?

Apple’s website does not specify which features the stand-alone version of Final Cut Pro for Mac will include, or which features will remain in the Mac App Store. The company clarified these points in a recent interview.

Ryan O’Neill Hughes and John Danty from Apple Marketing confirm that all new AI-powered features, visual search, transcript search, and beat detection will be available to all Final Cut Pro purchasers. Currently, both the App Store version and Apple Creator Studio have the same features.

However, the official Final Cut Pro webpage states that certain premium content is accessible only to Apple Creator Studio subscribers. This means future features or content may be exclusive to subscribers, although core features announced this week will be available to all users.

How Much Does Apple Creator Studio Cost?

Apple Creator Studio costs $12.99/£12.99 per month or $129/£129 per year, including a 1-month free trial. New Mac or iPad buyers receive 3 months free. Discounted pricing is available for students and teachers.
