Samsung Electronics introduced the Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Ultra, Galaxy Book 6 Pro, & Galaxy Book 6 at CES 2026. The latest Galaxy Book Series delivers enhanced performance and AI-enabled productivity in a slim, precisely engineered design.

Galaxy Book 6 Models Explained 

The Galaxy Book 6 series combine powerful hardware, clear visuals, and great sound in a slim, portable design. With the latest Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, the Samsung Galaxy Book 6 delivers fast, efficient performance for quick task handling, smooth multitasking, and helpful AI features.  

• The new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, built on the 1.8 nanometer and 18A node, feature up to 16 performance- and energy-efficient cores, delivering up to 60% faster CPU performance than the previous generation. The Integrated NPU delivers up to 50 TOPS, enabling AI-driven tasks such as image clean-up, instant translation, and intelligent research to run locally without relying on the cloud.  

• With the newest Nvidia graphics, Galaxy Book 6 supports quick AI image creation, smooth video playback and editing, and excellent gaming.  

The Samsung Windows laptops feature an advanced thermal system, ensuring efficient, steady performance and minimal noise in the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra and Pro models. For the first time, the Pro series includes a vapor chamber optimizing heat dissipation while maintaining quiet performance.  

• The vapor chamber, new to the Pro model and larger in the Ultra, distributes heat more evenly to maintain responsiveness under heavy workloads.  

• Larger fins attached to the vapor chamber in the Ultra and Pro models increase surface area, boosting cooling efficiency by 35% over the previous generation.  

• The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra features a new dual-path outlet fan and heat sink that absorbs and dissipates heat from internal components, preventing overheating and performance slowdowns.

• The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra offers six speakers with Dolby Atmos, including four force-cancelling woofers and two tweeters. This setup delivers clear, room-filling sound with strong bass and high frequencies, creating an engaging audio experience.  

• The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra uses a balanced back-to-back woofer design that minimizes vibration and distortion, ensuring clear sound and hardware stability at higher volumes.

• Samsung redesigned major components, including the wiper display, the fan display structure, the bezels, and the hinge. As a result, the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra and Galaxy Book 6 Pro 16-inch are slimmer and more portable.  

• The Galaxy Key Book 6 Ultra is 15.4 mm thick, 1 mm thinner than the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra. The Galaxy Book 6 Pro 16-inch is 11.9 mm thick and 0.6 mm thinner than the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 6 for 16-inch.  

• The Galaxy Book 6 series features a symmetrical design with clean lines, curved corners, and a centered logo, offering a unified premium appearance.  

• The centrally designed two-tone keyboard and haptic touch trackpad create visual balance while improving hand placement comfort and supporting precise fingertip control. This provides smooth navigation and a consistent typing experience, boosting usability and allowing users to type naturally and effortlessly, while reducing the likelihood of typos.

All-day productivity with AI requires speed, stability, and steady performance. Galaxy Book 6 combines powerful computing with Galaxy AI. It delivers fast and intuitive experiences across devices and the cloud. These smart tools are reliable and responsive throughout the day.  

• AI Select lets users select text on a touchscreen and instantly receive helpful information. This works while browsing, shopping, or viewing content. With AI Cutout, users can quickly remove image backgrounds. This makes it easy to prepare visuals for presentations, e-commerce, or marketing materials.  

• Search 14 becomes easier using natural language. Galaxy AI understands users’ intentions, and users can simply describe the content they are searching for. Search is simplified with natural language. Galaxy AI understands users’ intent, letting users describe what they need and quickly find photo settings or files. Organizing ideas after meetings or converting notes into other languages for collaboration with global teams.  

• Storage Share gives users easy access to photos and files across Galaxy devices. Users can open and edit photos directly on the Galaxy Book 6’s larger screen without cables or external drives.  

• Link to Windows on Galaxy phones lets you access apps, messages, and notifications on the Galaxy Book Pro 6’s display. This helps with effective multitasking. Users can capture a photo on their phone and edit it with Generative Edit. Live editing can continue on their PC. Live Translate can be used during calls or chats, and translated content is reviewed on the laptop’s larger screen.  

• Nearby Devices 1.8 lets users see devices at a glance and easily connect to them with a drag-and-drop, checking available features right away. For example, during a meeting, users can quickly link their Galaxy Book 6 to a Galaxy Tab or Galaxy smartphone to share files, mirror screens, or control devices together, easily unlocking effortless collaboration and productivity.  

• Multi-Control 19 allows a single cursor to move across Galaxy Book 6 phones and tablets, empowering effortless copy, paste, and drag-and-drop between devices. Users can pull a photo from their phone or text from their Galaxy Tab, and transfer it directly to a presentation on their PC for efficient workflow.

Availability 

Galaxy Book 6 Ultra, Galaxy Book 6 Pro, and Galaxy Book 6 will be available in grey or silver and in select markets starting late January 2026. Additionally, there will be a Galaxy Book 6 Enterprise Edition that brings features and solutions optimized for and managed in an IT environment, available in certain markets starting April 2026.  

Galaxy Book 6 vs MacBook 

Samsung’s new Galaxy Book 6 Ultra takes direct inspiration from the MacBook Pro.  

Below are six ways the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra echoes Apple’s design approach.

• Samsung has refined the overall fit and finish compared to the previous Galaxy Book models.  

Whether these upgrades will allow Samsung to close the gap with Apple remains to be seen. However, these significant improvements position the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra in a distinct category compared to the previous Book 4 Ultra.
