Last month, Samsung introduced its first tri-fold display smartphone, the Galaxy Z Tri-Fold. The device was first launched in South Korea, followed by releases in China, Singapore, Taiwan, and the UAE.

Samsung has confirmed plans to release the Samsung Galaxy Z Tri-Fold in the U.S. and has recently begun displaying the U.S. launch date.

Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold in the US on January 30, 2026, with sales starting the same day. It will be available in one configuration: 512 GB of storage in crafted black, priced at $2,899.

Samsung has not announced any launch offers for the Galaxy Z Tri-Fold U.S. launch, so early buyers are unlikely to receive special incentives. Upon release, it will be the first and only tri-fold smartphone available in the US, despite technically being a dual-fold.

Samsung has announced the US pricing details and the U.S launch date for its Galaxy Z Tri-Fold. The device will be available on January 30, 2026, for $2,899.

It’s not a small sum of cash by any measure, but it is less than $3,000, which is good news if you’ve been eyeing this impressive foldable that opens not once, but twice, to reveal a 10-inch screen. Samsung will only offer the Tri-Fold for now, in crafted black. the same shade Tech Radar went hands-on with at $2,899. It also comes with 512 GB of internal storage.

Customers can purchase the Galaxy Z Tri-Fold in person at a Samsung Experience Store or order online for ease and possibly faster delivery depending on demand.

Samsung Experience stores allow customers to try the device before deciding whether to buy it. Samsung has not announced if carriers will sell the Galaxy Z Tri-Fold. If sales through carriers are confirmed, monthly payment plans may become available.

The Galaxy Z Tri-Fold costs $2,899, which is $900 more than the $1,999.99 Galaxy Z Fold 7. Trade-in offers or sales may reduce the price. This places the Tri-Fold at a higher tier among premium flagship smartphones.

In Hands on Testing, Tech Radar’s Editor-At-Large Lance Ulanoff described the Z Tri-Fold as “an uncompromising and remarkable feat of engineering that offers the potential of truly pocketable big-screen tablet productivity.” The device aims to combine the functionality of both a phone and a tablet.

A comprehensive review will follow after further testing outside of Samsung’s hands-on environment to provide a comparison with other foldables. The Galaxy Z Trifold will be available for order directly from Samsung on January 30.
