An internal beta build of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 lineup has surfaced online. It showcases upgraded UI components, enhanced AI capabilities, and system-level optimisations. These leaks suggest Samsung is preparing a major software refresh ahead of 2026. The update could add support for Pro camera presets in the Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

Let’s take a look at the rumoured upgrades of the Samsung Galaxy UI 8.5 Beta build.

What We Know So Far?

Tarun Vats (@tarunvats33) claimed in a post on X that the first One UI 8.5 beta build for the Galaxy S25 series is now listed on Samsung’s test servers. The update reportedly bears the firmware versions S938NKSU7ZYKP, S938NOKR7ZYKP and S938NKSU7CYKP.

Status of Beta Release

Last month, early One UI 8.5 firmware for the Galaxy S25 Ultra leaked online. Recently, the company released what could be the first beta build intended for the public.

At least two Galaxy Z Fold 7 One UI 8.5 firmware builds have also leaked. However, it is still unclear which devices will ultimately be included in the beta program.

A previous leak indicated a new One UI 8.5 auto blur content feature, which is said to make use of Galaxy AI to hide sensitive data like metadata, location and more before sharing a photo from the Share menu.

Update on Public Release

Regular users can not access internal builds, but their discovery on Samsung’s servers suggests that the public beta release of One UI 8.5 may be a few weeks away.

Samsung was earlier expected to bring the One UI 8.5 public beta in November, but the release was said to be delayed due to changes in the possible launch timeline of the Galaxy S26 lineup.

Samsung has advanced its Android 16 adoption, pushed by Google’s strategy. The company has brought One UI 8.0 to its foldables. The x.5 version is also making a comeback with the Galaxy S26 series in 2026.

Launch Timeline

  • Every One UI beta program is released into phases. The first phase will reportedly roll out in the US, UK, Korea, and Germany.
  • The second phase is said to begin on December 22, which is when Samsung will supposedly expand the beta program to India and Poland.
  • The company will also release the second beta update for phase-one markets.
  •  A One UI 8.5 Beta 3 build could arrive as early as January 5, 2026.

Samsung has not yet confirmed the dates for the One UI 8.5 Beta program. The timeline may also change.

What Should You Expect?

Leaks suggest that One UI 8.5 may introduce a couple of new features. It will support Pro camera presets and allow users to save and switch between custom settings in Pro mode.

Another expected feature is Priority Notifications. This functionality could use Galaxy AI to automatically identify important notifications and show them above other notifications.

The One UI 8.5 may also include a Network Battery Saver feature to control network activity during idle hours to preserve battery.

“Knox Matrix Trust Chain technology provides security across Samsung Galaxy connected devices so you can monitor the security of other devices right from your Galaxy smartphone,” the company mentioned in a blog post.

Final Thoughts

The leaked One UI 8.5 beta build offers the clearest indication of Samsung’s software strategy for the Galaxy S25 series. These upgrades will provide a polished flagship experience with refined visuals, improved performance, and deeper AI integration. More details are expected to surface as the launch approaches.

It was rumoured that the Beta Program would launch by the end of November. However, the flagship phones have reportedly been delayed to late February 2026. It may also have pushed back the launch of Beta activity by a few weeks.

The latest details reveal the Huawei Mate 80 RS Master Edition as a luxury-grade smartphone offering a sophisticated design paired with powerful internal components, making it one of Huawei’s most advanced devices yet.

The OnePlus Ace 6T will launch with a next-level cooling setup and high-speed charging, making it one of the brand’s most performance-focused phones yet. This targets users who demand sustained, high-intensity smartphone performance.

The company has been teasing various specifications of smartphones. A company executive has revealed more details about the handset’s performance, charging, and display. These details became viral after the OnePlus Ace 6T was listed on the tech firm’s website. It also revealed its colour options and design.

OnePlus Ace 6T: Expected Specifications

The OnePlus China President, Li Jie Louis, shared some key specifications of the upcoming OnePlus Ace 6T in a post on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging platform.

Battery & Cooling System

The device will feature an 8,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging support. It will be equipped with the new “Glacier Cooling System” (translated from Chinese), with a “large” heat dissipation area to maintain thermals.

The OnePlus executive also revealed that it will ship with a “standard bypass power supply” while sporting the same gyroscope as the flagship OnePlus 15.

The OnePlus executive said: “Some friends say that battery life shouldn’t be judged solely by battery capacity; real-world experience is more important. If the massive 8300mAh Glacier Battery is the highest mountain among performance flagships, then the OnePlus Ace 6T’s battery life is the longest river, not only ample power, but also long-lasting, stable, and durable.”

“Our internal tests revealed: some users played games continuously for 7 hours, and the Ace 6T still had power left; others took it on international trips, watching videos throughout the flight, and still had power upon landing; many more used it heavily from morning till night, and still had considerable power left before bedtime,” the executive revealed.

OnePlus has invested both time and money in improving battery life. The Glacier Battery is a high-performance battery designed for high-performance phones. It is combined with the flagship energy efficiency of the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8’s latest 3nm process and the newly upgraded ColorOS 16. The model leads in specifications and also achieves “full performance and god-like battery life” in real-world use.

Processor

The smartphone is claimed to be the world’s first to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The company claims 3.56 million in the AnTuTu 11 benchmark.

Display

The display of the OnePlus Ace 6T will deliver up to 165Hz refresh rate.

Performance

OnePlus Ace 6T is claimed to feature a new “Wind Chaser Gaming Kernel” to enable 165fps gaming, which is coupled with an “e-sports triple-core” processor. It will get a 144fps mode for the game Honor of Kings.

The OnePlus Ace 6T features IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.

There is also a Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayaka Edition of the Ace 6T. As for what the “T” represents in Ace 6T, Louis says it “signifies OnePlus’s inherent performance DNA, unchanged from every previous ‘T’ generation.”

Outlook

The handset will be equipped with a large flat touchscreen, which features “ultra-narrow” bezels. It will boast a square camera module, housing two camera lenses.

The Ace 6T will feature a Plus key on the left side, which can be mapped to perform a specific action. It will ship with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for better security. OnePlus Ace 6T will offer 50:50 weight distribution, while sporting a “micro-arc” metal frame.

Colour Options

Previously, it was revealed that the OnePlus Ace 6T will be offered in black, green, and violet colour options.

Final Thoughts

The pricing of this model has not been revealed yet. Experts believe that the OnePlus Ace 6T would be priced below the OnePlus 15 variants. The OnePlus R series usually falls below Rs 50,000 in India. However, with the upgrades, the price may also increase.

The iQOO 15 was recently launched in India as the latest flagship smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. iQOO 15 has everything required for a performance-focused smartphone. However, it became significantly more expensive, with a starting price of Rs 72,999. It is comparable to the OnePlus 15. Both phones feature the same chipset.

Here is a comparison between the two devices to help you make an informed decision before purchasing.

Performance & Gaming

Both devices are powered by Qualcomm’s fastest mobile chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

What’s Unique in iQOO 15?

  • iQOO 15 integrates the largest 8,000mm2 cooling system in a smartphone in India.
  • It’s also equipped with a self-developed SuperComputing Chip Q3. This provides PC-grade visual enhancements to mobile gaming.
  • The smartphone is also capable of achieving 144fps gaming.
  • Users can push it to its limits with heavy and intensive tasks.

What’s Unique in the OnePlus 15?

  • Gaming is a major highlight on the OnePlus 15.
  • It gets dedicated technology with new Gaming Technology features such as OP Gaming Core, Performance Tri-Chip, and FPS Max.
  • The smartphone is also capable of achieving 165fps in select games.
  • Both the iQOO 15 and the OnePlus 15 are top performers for regular and heavy usage.

Verdict

iQOO 15 has a higher value in the AnTuTu benchmark. It suggests it’s slightly better if you’re very serious about raw performance.

Cameras

iQOO 15

  • It features a 50MP triple-camera setup at the back.
  • The setup is a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP OIS periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
  • For selfies, you get a 32MP front camera on the iQOO 15.
  • iQOO 15 boosts colours, making the images look more visually appealing. It’s not the best at retaining details, but it does maintain good exposure and dynamic range, delivering vibrant photos.

Users feel that selfies are not great on the iQOO 15. Most of them appear in soft colours and oversharpened details.

OnePlus 15

  • It has a similar camera setup, but with 3.5x optical zoom, making it a marginally better option for distant shots.
  • OnePlus 15’s cameras are versatile and fast, delivering social-media-ready results.
  • The smartphone is good for daylight and 3.5x portraits, and the quick shutter makes it easy for point-and-shoot.
  • Its low-light performance isn’t great, though, as the OnePlus 15 offers a darker, more dramatic look, but often with softer, dimmer frames.

Verdict

The OnePlus 15 is a better choice if you are detail-oriented.

Battery

All the new Android flagships take battery performance to the next level with capacities of 7,000mAh or higher.

  • iQOO 15 has a 7,000mAh battery, while the OnePlus 15 boasts a slightly bigger 7,300mAh unit.
  • Both phones come with 100W fast charging support.
  • iQOO 15 offers 40W wireless charging, and the OnePlus 15 offers 50W.
  • In real-world performance, the iQOO 15 lasts an entire day and more between charges.
  • The OnePlus 15 can go through more than a day.

Despite the marginal difference, both phones showed a similar performance, with their batteries dropping around the same amount after streaming YouTube and playing games such as BGMI, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Real Racing 3.

The difference would be minimal, but if you had to pick the ultimate winner, then it would be the OnePlus 15.

OxygenOS 16 vs OriginOS 6

iQOO 15

  • iQOO 15 features OriginOS 6, which replaced Funtouch OS.
  • The new software is fluid with several quality-of-life improvements and customisation.
  • Users will get useful AI features such as AI Reflection Remover, AI Image Expander, AI Erase, and AI Colour Adjustment.
  • iQOO 15 offers 5 years of OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates.

OnePlus 15

  • OnePlus 15 features OxygenOS 16, which leans more heavily into AI with a dedicated MindSpace hub that captures and collects your content in one place.
  • Users will get several customisation features and a transparent-like effect in certain aspects of the UI.
  • OnePlus 15 offers 4 years of OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates.

Final Thoughts

Both iQOO 15 and the OnePlus 15 share the same starting price of Rs 72,999 with the same chipset, and similar camera hardware. It makes them almost identical in the core specs.

  • The iQOO 15 offers a brighter and more immersive display, excellent heat management, decent all-around cameras, and longer software support.
  • iQOO 15 is suitable for multimedia consumption and sustained performance.
  • OnePlus 15 stands out with its superior gaming experience, longer battery life, cleaner and more intuitive UI, and slightly better telephoto performance.

The real differences come down to user priorities. Both are powerful flagships, and your pick depends on whether you value peak brightness and thermal efficiency or gaming-centric features and battery endurance.

iQOO 15 was launched in China in October with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The company is reportedly gearing up to expand the iQOO 15 lineup with a compact model, iQOO 15 Mini. Fresh reports suggest the iQOO 15 Mini is nearing launch, which features flagship-level specifications in a compact form. The new Mini variant may cater to users seeking performance without the bulk. A new leak suggests the possible launch timeline and key specifications of this handset. Get all the details here.

 iQOO 15 Mini Specifications

Processor

The compact phone is tipped to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. The flagship iQOO 15 is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is currently Qualcomm’s most powerful processor.

Design

It is also tipped to feature a metal frame and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. iQOO 15 Mini will feature a 6.31-inch display with a 1.5K resolution.

Battery

It is expected to offer a battery capacity similar to the standard iQOO 15. The upcoming model will feature a 7,000mAh battery similar to the standard iQOO 15 model. iQOO 15 Mini could compete with devices like the OnePlus 15T in the compact flagship segment.

Launch Timeline

Tipster Smart Pikachu (translated from Chinese) claims that the iQOO 15 Mini will launch around April next year with a small screen. It is expected to launch alongside the iQOO 15 Ultra.

Details about iQOO 15

iQOO 15 was launched in China last month with a starting price tag of CNY 4,199 (roughly Rs. 52,000) for the base variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. In India, it is expected to start at Rs. 72,999.

The iQOO 15 features a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED display with 2K resolution and up to a 144Hz refresh rate.

It is one of the first smartphones to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. The device packs a proprietary Q3 gaming chip, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of onboard storage.

iQOO 15 has a triple rear camera unit comprising three 50-megapixel sensors. It integrates a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

Final Thoughts

While other specifications are still under wraps, iQOO 15 Mini is expected to compete directly with upcoming compact flagships like the OnePlus 15T and Oppo Find X9s. If accurate, the device could attract users wanting flagship speed in a pocket-friendly size. Compact phone fans may finally get a device that does not compromise features or speed.

Apple’s foldable iPhone is taking shape as leaked market studies show user interest rising. Early specs hint at a book-style design, top-tier chipset and a luxury pricing model. The iPhone Fold could become Apple’s next breakthrough device. According to new leaks, Apple may launch it alongside the iPhone 18 series in fall 2026.

Current rumours suggest the company is preparing the most radical hardware shift yet. Apple is set to introduce three major upgrades with its first foldable: an under-display inner camera, a crease-free main screen, and the largest battery ever seen in an iPhone, as per the leaks.

Expected Features in the Foldable iPhone

Camera

The leaks suggest that Apple may use a 24MP camera under the inner display. This would be a first for the industry because most current foldable phones use low-resolution under-screen cameras.

Apple is believed to have worked on improving how much light passes through the screen. This could lead to clearer photos and videos from this hidden camera.

Display

Reports claim that Apple has focused on the hinge and screen design to remove the crease that appears on most foldable phones.

Most of the Android foldables show a visible line where the screen bends. Industry sources say that the company has tested several prototypes to solve this long-standing issue. If the final product removes the crease, it could give Apple a clear advantage over available models.

Battery

A famous analyst for Ming Chi Kuo revealed that Apple may use high-density battery cells in the foldable iPhone. Several leaks from Korea and China also point to Apple testing batteries larger than 5,000 mAh. If the final capacity crosses this figure, it will become the largest battery ever used in an iPhone.

Design

The foldable iPhone is said to feature a 7.8-inch main display when opened, and a 5.5-inch cover screen for regular use. Leaks also suggest the presence of Touch ID, a hole-punch front camera, and a dual 48MP rear camera setup.

The iPhone Air is created employing a titanium frame, unlike all the iPhones current models, which make use of aluminum. But the iPhone Fold might be another exception, as speculations indicate that it will be built with both titanium and aluminum.

As per the foldable’s dual-display demands, Apple may have a A20 Pro customized chipset, stabilizing performance for multitasking, split-screen, and efficient battery.

The foldable model is expected to avoid Face ID due to space constraints in a thin chassis. Apple might reintroduce Touch ID fingerprint authentication via a side-mounted sensor on the power button, which is like the iPad Air. This avoids needing two Face ID modules for the two screens

Price

Industry experts believe that the iPhone Fold could become Apple’s most expensive smartphone ever. Early predictions reveal a U.S. price of about $2,400, which is well above the current iPhone Pro lineup. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman also predicts the price to be around $2,000.

The device may be priced near Rs 2,15,000 in India. The premium cost is attributed to its big foldable display, complex folding technology, and high-end camera system.

If Apple decides to launch its first foldable at over $2,000, the company should keep in mind that Samsung offers 1TB of storage at this price point.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7, the company’s best foldable in the market, offers 1TB of storage for a marked price of $2,419.99 (currently retailing for $2,019.99).

Foldable Smartphone Market

Brands like Samsung, Google, Motorola, OnePlus, Huawei, and Xiaomi have already launched foldable phones. Samsung leads the market with about 34% share of global foldable shipments in 2024. Its Galaxy Z Fold series is now on its 7th generation.

Google entered with the Pixel Fold in 2023, and OnePlus launched the Open in 2023. Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Motorola companies also offer various foldables. This highlights that Apple is arriving late to a field of rivals.

Final Thoughts

Most foldable rumours point to the September 2026 launch of the iPhone Fold, presumably as part of the same event that introduces the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Early research notes suggest Apple is treating the Apple iPhone Fold as an ultra‑premium flagship, positioning it above even the Pro Max range. That strategy could allow Apple to test cutting‑edge features while keeping volumes relatively limited in the first generation.

The Apple iPhone Fold is shaping up as a showcase for Apple’s hardware ambitions. It combines a crease‑free display, an under‑display camera, and a record‑breaking battery into a single ultra‑premium device.

Experts forecast that Apple’s foldable could redefine the foldable category. It may provide new software experiences tailored to large screens and validate foldables as a mainstream device. The big question is whether Apple’s loyal base and curious early adopters will embrace this bold new form factor in 2026.

Huawei is gearing up for its global launch of the Mate 80 Pro, Max, and RS Master Edition, each packing major design and performance upgrades. The series promises to be one of Huawei’s strongest flagship lineups with improved cameras, a refined Kirin chipset, and premium display tech.
